"Tociar Piere" in Volta
The course deals with a detailed and functional analysis of the Muranese technique called "Tociar Piere", that is to pick up canes. It will study in depth the possibility of working on a pattern previously set up, in order to get the final piece in the simplest and most congenial way. Some of the most traditional Muranese techniques, as pulling canes or making murrine, will be precisely examined from the point of view of the glassblower who "ga' da far volta", who is working for the production quality of the piece. In this way, students will be given a basis to start in facing different cases of glassblowing art.
