Solving Problems in Fusing and Small Scale Glass Casting
This is the perfect class to hone your skills and develop your method of glass working. With over a decade of working with kiln related techniques, Rene Culler has the technical background to help you excel. All levels of experience are welcome; people would learn at their own paces, ideas and technique will be shared. Bring photos of your work for consultation. The instructor will be available to help work out your technical problems in fusing and small scale casting.

Rene Culler has a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art and an MFA from Kent State University. Rene Culler's sculpture in blown and cast glass is in the permanent collection of the Corning Museum of Glass and the Smithsonian Institution, Museum of American Art in Washington, DC. Her fused glass architectural panels are located throughout the United States in libraries, medical centers and law offices. She is the author of "Glass Art From the Kiln," published by Schiffer Publishers and is due out in the summer of 2007. Sculpture is documented in the new 2006 publication by Lark Books, 500 Glass Objects, of which two works were selected. Rene frequently teaches at UrbanGlass in Brooklyn, The Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass, The Fundacio Centre del Vidre de Barcelona, and at the Glass Furnace in Istanbul, Turkey. She will teach a master class in glass at the Beck Center for the Arts in spring of 2007. Rene offers workshops at her studio in glassblowing and kilnforming techniques. www.reneculler.com
