Session 5 : 7 September - 13 September
Application deadline* : 3 July Tuition fee : €500 Accommodation fee : €320 Arrival : 6 September Departure : 14 September Deposit** : 3 July Remainder : 23 July The aim of this class is to teach students to respond to the nature of mosaic materials. Every mosaic material can be used in a wealth of different ways for textural qualities and properties of colour, surface or reflectivity. Wonderful results can be produced from a limited palette by extending the ways the material itself is used. We will be laying the tesserae by the direct method. Every student should expect to complete a mosaic panel. In addition, small panels for experimental work will be provided.
