Visions in Glass
"Little things make big things happen"

John Wooden. legendary UCLA basketball coach winner of 9 straight NCAA basketball championships
In this intensive, team-taught workshop, students will explore the dynamic and versatile properties of glass as a medium for executing unique and original ideas. Innovation and problem solving will guide this hot-sculpting adventure, as students are encouraged to think beyond the traditional glassblowing curriculum, and challenge their approach to thinking and creating. Starting from drawings, students will learn how to bring their designs to life by integrating various techniques, including: bubble sculpting, solid working, and multiple part construction. Demonstrations will complement the student's designs, and personal attention will be available in every stage of the design process. This class is open to all experience levels. Genuine enthusiasm and willingness to experiment is a must!
