Rachel Gretton

I have five years experience teaching and facilitating glass workshops and courses to a diverse audience and up to a degree level. I was employed as a visiting lecturer by Sunderland University and have also been a visiting artist on many occasions to various schools, colleges and galleries throughout the North East and Yorkshire.
I have worked for and alongside renowned glass artists producing high standard work for major exhibitions including the Jerwood Glass Prize held at the Crafts Council, London. I have also produced award-winning designs for Cost Boda in Sweden; this work was sold in Harrods and was exhibited in the '75 years of Swedish Glass' exhibition at the National Glass Centre in Sunderland.
I opened a working kiln glass studio/gallery in Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire in 2006 and was awarded an Arts Council 'Grants For The Arts' Award. I have since taken on several large commissions and residencies and will continue to develop my business and build my exhibition portfolio of unique sculptural work.
Recently my work has diversified and I am currently collaborating with other artists from a musician to a fashion designer. Making every project an inspiring and thought-provoking journey.
