The students will be introduced to the techniques of making beads, one of the earliest forms of glasswork.

STAGES OF BEADMAKING

Melting the glass sticks with the torch flame	Wrapping the melted glass around the steel sticks

Cooling the beads in ash	Extracting the beads from the steel sticks

Composing the beads into designs
