The whereabouts of the Glass Furnace

The Glass Furnace is 25 kilometers northeast of Istanbul near the Black Sea. It is close to the very old village of Ogumce, nestled in a gentle valley behind the hills of Beykoz.

The Glass Furnace was built on the original site of an experimental glass engraving facility built by a major industrial glass company 20 years ago and then abandoned 10 years later.

After the site was taken over by the Glass Furnace, all renovations for this facility were designed and overseen by a sensitive professional architect, with great sympathy to the project and the environment.
